Frequently asked questions
Will I receive the same coffee every month?
Yes, which ever coffee you subscribe to is what you/they will receive with each delivery.
It's worth noting that coffee crops will change throughout the year - BLOOM, FLARE and DUST keep the same flavour profile, but the coffees used will change with the seasons. That means you'll always enjoy the style of coffee you love while discovering new producers and origins.
TIDE is a bit different – it's our most adventurous subscription, sometimes featuring limited releases and experimental coffees chosen by our roastery team.
How fresh is the coffee?
We roast our coffee as fresh as possible, but contrary to popular belief, the freshest coffee isn't always the tastiest.
Freshly roasted coffee needs a little time to rest and naturally release carbon dioxide (a process called degassing). Giving your coffee a few days to settle leads to better extraction and a more balanced, flavourful cup.
As a guide, we recommend:
- Filter brewing: Best enjoyed 3–5 days after roasting.
- Espresso brewing: Best enjoyed 5–10 days after roasting.
We roast to order wherever possible, so your coffee will often arrive before it has fully rested. Simply check the roast date on the bag and let time do the rest.
For the best flavour, enjoy your coffee within the first month of roasting. It will still be great for up to three months from the roast date, but after that you'll start to notice a gradual loss of flavour and aroma.
Airtight containers are your coffee's best friend
Do you use sustainable packaging?
We're always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact. Our coffee is sourced with care, roasted in small batches and packed to keep it fresh while minimising unnecessary waste. Our 250g bags are made from paper and can be recycled through your household kerbside recycling, making it easier to enjoy great coffee with less impact, just remember to remove the valve.
Can I skip or change my delivery?
Absolutely! You're in control. Skip a delivery, bring your next order forward, or reschedule it whenever you like from your subscription account. Any problems do not hesitate to get in touch.
How do I know how much coffee to order?
Not sure where to start? As a guide, a 250g bag makes around 14–16 cups of coffee. Most people drinking one or two cups a day are happy with a 250g bag every couple of weeks.
1kg bag makes around 55-60 cups of coffee. 2 cups a day would last around a month 4 cups a day would last a couple of weeks.
But you can change your schedule whenever you like.
