What is our Winter Blend all about?
This is the fifth year of our limited Winter Blend, and more importantly, our third year of giving back to our connected community.
A little bit of background: our friends at Boss Morris designed the beautiful label for free, and in return asked us to do something for a good cause. That’s how our annual Winter Blend Fundraiser was born.
This year, we’re proud to support a local initiative to protect Rodborough Fields and Frome Banks, a treasured green space right on our doorstep. For every bag of Winter Blend sold, £1 will be donated to help preserve this vital local landscape.
The Story Behind the Coffee
Our Winter Blend brings together two origins that share a focus on quality, sustainability and community.
From Aulia Kahfi’s Rakyat Farm in northern Sumatra to the mountain community of Santiago Xochiltepec in Oaxaca, this coffee celebrates smallholders working with care and precision at every stage of production.
In Sumatra, Aulia sources ripe cherries from his neighbours and processes them using anaerobic honey methods, producing a rich, syrupy base. In Oaxaca, coffee grows among pine, oak and fruit trees, intercropped with maize and beans - a traditional, low-impact system that sustains both biodiversity and family livelihoods.
Sustainable Impact
Community empowerment – Both origins rely on smallholder farmers who are improving their futures through collaboration and fair pay.
Agroecological balance – Shade-grown systems, mixed cropping and minimal inputs protect soil health and local ecosystems.
Long-term partnerships – Producers receive training, technical support and fair prices, creating stability and resilience across both regions.
Why You’ll Love It
Winter Blend is smooth and warming, with notes of cherry, date and cocoa. It’s a comforting, balanced cup that captures the richness of the season while supporting the communities who grow it.
👉 Brew it as a filter for a soft, rounded sweetness or as espresso for a rich, chocolatey shot with gentle dried fruit tones.
