Honey, Raspberry, Rose Water & Peach
This coffee tastes at its best as a black drink, but can be enjoyed with milk with notes of baking spices, raspberry and treacle.
Grown by Nersu Abu Nura at her own farm which is located at an incredible 1,950- 2,00 MASL in the Oromia region in Ethiopia.
It is very exciting to be releasing our first Ethiopian coffee on to the offer. Ethiopia is one of two regions that have a story about first finding coffee, the other is Yemen. The parable that has been passed through the centuries in Ethiopia is about a goat herder named Kaldi, who noticed that his goats gained energy and didn't sleep so well, after eating berries from particular trees. Though this story goes back further there first evidence of coffee consumption is known to be at Sufi monasteries where coffee was used to aid the worshipers concentration during prayer in the 15th Century.
This stunning coffee was grown on Nersu's 9 acre farm. She holds her own export license and produced stunning *natural coffees.
* Natural coffees describes a style of processing that involves leaving the coffee beans to ferment inside the cherry.
