Discover the unique flavour of our microlot coffee box

Experience Exceptional Coffee at an Affordable Price

Introducing our Microlot Coffee Box, specially crafted for coffee enthusiasts who crave high-quality coffee without breaking the bank. We've curated a box with just enough beans for one or two cups, allowing you to savor the exquisite flavours of our latest microlot offering.

The Artisanal Process Behind Our Coffee

Our coffee journey begins with a meticulous selection process:

  1. Initial Cherry Selection:

    • Upon arrival at the farm's wet mill, cherries undergo flotation to select the finest.
  2. Fermentation:

    • Cherries are then fermented in tanks for 24 hours.
  3. Pulping:

    • After fermentation, cherries are pulped, leaving the mucilage attached to the parchment.
  4. Drying:

    • Beans are spread on African beds inside polytunnels, ensuring even drying until humidity reaches 18%.
    • Final drying occurs in a mechanical chamber, reducing humidity to 11% due to the high environmental humidity.
  5. Stabilization:

    • The parchment coffee is placed inside GrainPro bags to stabilize for 6 to 8 weeks before export.

A Special Collaboration with Makicuna

Our microlot coffee is sourced through a cherished partnership with Makicuna. This collaboration began with a memorable visit to Finca Maputo, where we were warmly welcomed by Henry and Verena. We were introduced to their Sidra Honey coffee, a variety that was relatively unknown in 2018.

  • Our First Purchase:

    • Inspired by the exceptional quality of the Sidra Honey, we purchased 80 kg and introduced it to the UK market at Bristol's Coffee House Project.
  • A Lasting Impression:

    • The coffee's unique flavor profile captivated attendees and established our reputation in the specialty coffee community.
  • Ongoing Relationship:

    • Since then, we've built a strong relationship with Finca Maputo, sourcing their renowned Sidra variety annually.

Why You'll Love Our Microlot Coffee Box

  • Exquisite Flavour: Savour the rich, complex taste of carefully processed beans from Finca Maputo.
  • Affordable Luxury: Enjoy high-quality microlot coffee without the premium price tag.
